  • The Foodservice Manager is responsible for the planning, organization, management, and execution of the foodservice program.
  • Full time, salaried position with hours that will vary and include weekends and holidays.
  • High school diploma or equivalent and 2 years foodservice experience in a school or juvenile residential facility OR an equiva

 

  • The Foodservice Manager is responsible for the planning, organization, management, and execution of the foodservice program.
  • Full time, salaried position with hours that will vary and include weekends and holidays.
  • High school diploma or equivalent and 2 years foodservice experience in a school or juvenile residential facility OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience with National School Food Program requirements and ServSafe certification preferred.
  • Must pass a pre-employment physical and drug test.

Essential Functions: 

  1. Plan menus that meet nutritional standards and take into consideration client input for evening meals and bedtime snacks. Ensure menus and menu changes comply with National School Lunch, Breakfast, and Afterschool Snack Program standards.
  2. Follow and enforce sanitary and safety practices for food handling and storage; kitchen equipment; kitchen and dining area; and tools and chemicals.
  3. Purchase and inventory  food, Federal commodities, kitchen equipment and supplies, and cleaning supplies.  
  4. Comply with the guidelines and training requirements of the National School Food Program.
  5. Plan, prepare, and serve food for Ranch events.
  6. Hire foodservice staff.
  7. Create the work schedule for foodservice staff.
  8. Provide direct supervision, support and assistance to subordinates. Complete written performance evaluations for subordinates and implement disciplinary action against subordinates. Facilitate and document staff meetings and train staff.
  9. Provide care for and direct supervision of clients to ensure their safety and security according to agency policies and procedures and licensing and      accreditation standards.
  10. Coach and develop clients. Set and enforce behavioral limits and consequences for clients. Use de-escalation and restraint techniques in accordance with agency policies and procedures and licensing and accreditation standards. 

Salary Range: 45,000-60,000 DOE

  Looking for committed, long-term staff.

Full time position. Regular hours are Monday-Friday (8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.) and as needed to assist with special events and tours.

The Fundraising Assistant is responsible for the clerical functions of the Development Office and for assisting the Chief Development Officer and the Assistant Director

Full time position. Regular hours are Monday-Friday (8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.) and as needed to assist with special events and tours.

The Fundraising Assistant is responsible for the clerical functions of the Development Office and for assisting the Chief Development Officer and the Assistant Director of Development with public relations and gift procurement activities.

Education & Experience: high school diploma or equivalent

Skills: ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing; computer skills including knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, and e-mail software; possess a valid driver’s license and ability to operate a motor vehicle

Physical Requirements: general office environment will include sitting, standing, walking, filing, keyboarding, etc.; physical activity related to picking up donations including ability to lift at least 40 lbs.

Essential Functions: 

  • Regularly plan and manage multiple pickups from and deliveries to donors and community partners ensuring timely and careful transport.
  • Manage the storage and sorting of donated items. Maintain the donation room. 
  • Maintain and organize all supplies, materials, computer files, & physical files used in the Development Office. 
  • Maintain and update database of donors, donations and potential donors. 
  • Assist with special events by soliciting donations; delivering promotional materials to local community partners; collecting donations, materials, and supplies, and helping set up for the events. Attend and work at all special events.
  • Assist with creating, producing, and distributing newsletters, brochures, press releases, campaign letters, invitations, and other publications and promotional materials.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with current and potential donors, corporate and      foundation sponsors, and the general public including in-person, off-Ranch      visits to build rapport and show appreciation.
  • Assist with fundraising campaigns.
  • Schedule and lead tours of facility to visitors as assigned. Assist the McCrossan Visitor Center      when needed.
  • Assist in answering  general ranch phone calls and helping with front desk duties in absence of  the receptionist.

Other Functions:

  • Carry out special projects and other duties as assigned.

chapter of visionary leadership. The next Executive Director will lead a dedicated staff, steward a strong community reputation and significant donor base, and build upon McCrossan’s legacy of offering hope and second chances to boys and their families.

unique mission in youth development.


The Executive Director is the chief executive officer of McCrossan Boys Ranch and reports to

the Board of Directors. The Executive Director is responsible for advancing the mission, vision,

and values of the organization and oversees all aspects of operations, staff management, and

external relations.
